The Verbli website, mobile web app, and related services (together, the "Service") are operated by Verbli ("Verbli," "us," or "we"). Access and use of the Service is subject to the following Terms and Conditions of Service ("Terms and Conditions"). By accessing or using any part of the Service, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions including any future modifications. Verbli may amend, update, or change these Terms and Conditions. If we do this, we will post a notice that we have made changes to these Terms and Conditions on the website for at least 7 days after the changes are posted and will indicate at the top of the Terms and Conditions the date these terms were last revised. If you do not agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, you are not authorized to use, access, or participate in the Service.
The Service allows users to access and use a variety of language practice services, including practicing speaking, listening, reading, writing, and conversational skills across multiple languages. Verbli may, in its sole discretion and at any time, update, change, suspend, make improvements to, or discontinue any aspect of the Service, temporarily or permanently.
You are responsible for your use of the Service, and for any use of the Service made using your account. When using Verbli, you agree not to:
In connection with registering for and using the Service, you agree (i) to provide accurate, current, and complete information about you as requested by Verbli; (ii) to maintain the confidentiality of your password and other information related to the security of your account; (iii) to maintain and promptly update any registration information you provide to Verbli, to keep such information accurate, current, and complete; and (iv) to be fully responsible for all use of your account and for any actions that take place through your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Service.
Verbli offers a Free plan with limited access and a Pro plan with full access to all practice modes and features. Pro is available as a monthly subscription ($18 USD/month) or annual subscription ($180 USD/year, equivalent to $15/month).
If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription through the Service, your account will be billed continuously for the subscription until you terminate it as set forth below. After your initial subscription period, and again after any subsequent subscription period, your subscription will automatically renew for an additional equivalent period. If you do not wish your subscription to renew automatically, or if you want to change or terminate your subscription, you will need to follow the instructions available through the Service to manage your subscription.
New Pro subscribers are eligible for a 3-day free trial. To start a free trial, you will be required to submit valid payment details. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before your free trial ends, you will automatically become a recurring subscriber and your payment method will be charged. If you cancel during your free trial, you will lose access to Pro features at the end of the trial.
You agree to pay all fees and applicable taxes incurred by you or anyone using an account registered to you. Verbli may revise pricing for the services offered through the Service at any time. All information that you provide in connection with a purchase or transaction must be accurate, complete, and current.
All financial transactions made in connection with the Service will be processed by a third-party payment processor in accordance with their respective terms of use and privacy policy. We encourage you to review the practices of such third parties. In no event will Verbli be responsible for the actions or inactions of any third-party payment processor, including system downtime or payment service outages.
All payments are nonrefundable and there are no refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods, unless otherwise required by the law in your jurisdiction. If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to Pro features through the end of your current billing period. Refund requests beyond this policy are handled on a case-by-case basis — please contact support@verbliapp.com.
Verbli may offer codes that can be redeemed for discounts or trial periods ("Promotion Codes"). Promotion Codes have no cash value, may only be redeemed once, and may be subject to expiration dates or usage limits. Reselling or transferring Promotion Codes is strictly prohibited. Verbli may modify, suspend, or terminate a Promotion Code at any time for any reason.
All content available through the Service, including designs, text, graphics, images, information, software, audio and other files, and their selection and arrangement ("Service Content"), are the proprietary property of Verbli or its licensors. No Service Content may be modified, copied, distributed, framed, reproduced, republished, downloaded, scraped, displayed, posted, transmitted, or sold in any form or by any means, in whole or in part, other than as expressly permitted in these Terms and Conditions. Your practice content (conversations, writing submissions, and other materials you create during practice) remains yours, though you grant Verbli the right to use this content to provide and improve the Service.
You may not use any data mining, robots, scraping, or similar data gathering or extraction methods to obtain Service Content. All rights of Verbli or its licensors that are not expressly granted in these Terms and Conditions are reserved.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Verbli and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and assigns from and against any and all losses, claims, causes of action, obligations, liabilities, and damages whatsoever, including attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to your access or use of the Service, any false representation made to us, or your breach of any of these Terms and Conditions.
THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL CONTENT AND INFORMATION THEREIN, AND ANY OTHER INFORMATION, PROPERTY, AND RIGHTS GRANTED OR PROVIDED TO YOU BY VERBLI ARE PROVIDED TO YOU ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. VERBLI MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WITH RESPECT TO THE SERVICE, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND ALL SUCH REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, VERBLI DOES NOT MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY RELATING TO ACCURACY, SERVICE AVAILABILITY, COMPLETENESS, ERROR-FREE OPERATION, OR RESULTS TO BE OBTAINED FROM USE. ACCESS AND USE OF THE SERVICE MAY BE UNAVAILABLE DURING PERIODS OF PEAK DEMAND, SYSTEM UPGRADES, MALFUNCTIONS, OR SCHEDULED OR UNSCHEDULED MAINTENANCE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL VERBLI BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE ACCESS OR USE OF, OR THE INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICE OR ANY PORTION THEREOF, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE LOSS OF USE OF THE SERVICE, INACCURATE RESULTS, LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR DAMAGES STEMMING FROM LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA, EVEN IF VERBLI HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VERBLI'S LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER, AND REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF THE ACTION, IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO VERBLI FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE INITIAL ACTION GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY. THIS IS AN AGGREGATE LIMIT. THE EXISTENCE OF MORE THAN ONE CLAIM WILL NOT INCREASE THIS LIMIT.
Verbli may terminate your access and use of the Service immediately at any time, for any reason, and at such time you will have no further right to use the Service. You may terminate your Verbli account at any time by contacting us at support@verbliapp.com. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately, and your account will revert to the Free plan or be deactivated as applicable.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content that are not owned or controlled by Verbli. We do not endorse or assume any responsibility for any such third-party sites, information, materials, products, or services. If you access any third-party website or service from Verbli, you understand that these Terms and Conditions do not apply to your use of such sites. You expressly acknowledge and agree that Verbli shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss arising from your use of any third-party website, service, or content.
Use of the Service is also governed by our , available at verbliapp.com/privacy. By using the Service, you consent to the terms of the Privacy Policy.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed under the laws of Ontario, Canada, excluding any conflict of laws provisions, regardless of your country of origin or where you access the Service.
This agreement was originally written in English. To the extent any translated version of this agreement conflicts with the English version, the English version controls.
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Verbli and you concerning the subject matter hereof. In the event that any of the Terms and Conditions are held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, such provisions shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms and Conditions shall otherwise remain in full force and effect. A waiver by Verbli or you of any provision of these Terms and Conditions or any breach thereof, in any one instance, will not waive such term or condition or any subsequent breach thereof. Verbli may assign its rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions without condition. These Terms and Conditions will be binding upon and will inure to the benefit of Verbli and you, and Verbli's and your respective successors and permitted assigns.
